This beautiful length of coastline in Pacific Grove, Perkins Park is part of Shoreline Park and is the section of shoreline between Lovers Point and Esplanade Park. It was named after local resident Hayes Perkins, who planted the first pink ice plant along this section of the waterfront. The park is beautifully landscaped and famous for its"magic carpet" ice plant which blooms gloriously in late spring for several weeks.
